The
“4/9+4” schedule
Another
example of a compressed workweek is the “4/9 + 4.” This consists of four 9-hour days plus one 4-hour day each
week. The examples show this schedule with the planned
half-day off in the middle and at the ends of the week.
When the half-day in this schedule is done as a
telecommuting or work-at-home half-day, it can provide
the travel reduction effect of a 4/10 schedule with only
a half-day a week of flex day.

Please note: If
an exempt employee is currently working more than
forty hours to
complete
required tasks, this employee will still need to
complete his or her tasks
on a CWW. As in any exempt position, success is
measured by meeting
established objectives rather than by the number
of hours worked. |
