Employees on a compressed workweek arrangement complete
the full-time responsibilities of a standard work week
compressed into fewer than five full working days.
Non-exempt or overtime-eligible employees can work
compressed schedules that allow all work to be completed
in the same 40-hour workweek.
The “4/10”
schedule One
example of a compressed workweek schedule is a
“4/10” schedule, where an employee works four
10-hour days and has one extra scheduled day off each
week. The examples show an employee taking the scheduled day off midweek or
near the weekend.
